Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) for Higher Education R. V. Deshpande has said that the State government would add its own ranking system to evaluate and the performance of universities.
Speaking afterwards inaugurating a green library, solar power product and other facilities at the Karnatak College Dharwad (KUD) on Sunday, Mister. Deshpande said that under the system, higher education fascilities would be ranked on over-all very good quality, contribution in the field of research and development, among others. It becomes a first-of-its-kind experiment in the country, cherished said.
Taking a dig at a pattern to establish new universities, Mr. Deshpande said that there is a need to consider the feasibility on the scope of setting up flavor varsities. The government was trying to provide you facilities and job security to be able to teachers. He appealed to the to teach fraternity to be serious about providing very good quality education to students and to promote innovative activities, he said.
Seasoned expert journalist Patil Puttappa said that major universities gave importance to very good quality and merit and did not mindful of factors such as caste and creed.
